About the series

Saeris Fane is 24 and survives in the parched city of Zilvaren by staying invisible. She has a magic no one can know about, and she has stolen from an immortal queen. When she finally comes face to face with Death himself, she opens a portal and ends up in Yvelia, a realm of ice and fae.

There she becomes bound to Kingfisher, a cold and dangerous fae warrior, and she has to learn to understand both her own magic and a world where everyone has their own agenda. The books are full of humour, sharp dialogue and a relationship that begins with irritation.

So far the series consists of Quicksilver and Brimstone, and it contains adult scenes.

The books in the series

  2. Brimstone (2025)

My thoughts

I listened to it, and what makes it stand out is the tone. Saeris has a dry sense of humour, and the exchanges between her and Kingfisher keep you wanting to hear just a little more.
