Will is Nihil’s twin brother, but the two of them could hardly be more different. Will smiles easily and trusts people. When he got his Amícûs, the owl landed on his head and sat there for twenty minutes, and he’s always happy to tell that story.
Will keeps trying to reach his brother, but Nihil pushes him away. Even so, they end up on the same team for the island test, together with Marcus Eslakrik.
One Sunday Will sits down beside Chris while Ahra has gone up for a book. He asks whether Nihil is all right, since Chris lives with him. His brother has always been quiet, he says, but now it is a different kind of quiet.

Will is placed on the Gistónu path together with Nihil and Marcus, the whole team at once, and takes it cheerfully. Nihil stands up and walks out of the room, and Will watches him go with his arms half raised. Will shares a room with Ahra.
